January 2010
Hello everyone,
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. All of us here at Ginger’s want to thank everyone for the beautiful cards and gifts, all of the yummy goodies, and holiday cheer that you brought to the Shoppe. We feel truly blessed to be a part of the quilting community. Trying to get all of our family in one place at one time with everyone’s busy schedules is always a challenge and it was wonderful spending time with them all. Now we are rested and ready for the challenges that will come our way in 2010.
Have you had a chance to look at all of the new classes being offered? We have so many new exciting classes. Have you wanted to try your hand at Hand Appliqué, or Paper Piecing, making a Rag Rug, or maybe you have thought about joining a charity or friendship group. We hope you will find classes and groups that excite and satisfy you, and perhaps challenge your creative side as well. Stop by the Shoppe and pick up the class schedule for January, February and March or go to our web site http://www.gingersquiltshoppe.com/classes.php
January is “Road to California” time. Even Ginger is taking time out to take a class this year (yippee!). We hope all of you that are taking classes have a great time and be sure to stop by the store and share your experiences with us. Even if you are not taking classes, we want to hear about all the wonderful things you see and buy. Sharing the excitement with you is what makes this so much fun. We hope you will have time while you are at the show to stop by our booth (# 1022, 1024, & 1026 in the main hall) to say hi. We have Road to California Single-day and Multi-day bracelets for sale in our store. You can go also on line and buy them at http://www.road2ca.com, or pick them up at the ticket booth on the day you go.
Would you love to see our newest batiks before anyone else? Well you can! Each month, we'll select 10 of the most beautiful batiks to enter the shoppe and reserve them for our Batik Club members. Although you won't be personally picking the color scheme, we'll make sure that they create a pleasing and coordinated grouping. When you join our Batik Club, you'll pay $10 for your membership. Unless you specify otherwise, each month, we'll automatically bill your credit card. You may withdraw from the club at any time. To re-join, you'll need to pay the membership fee again. You may choose to automatically receive 10 fat quarters for $25.75/month, half-yard cuts for $51.50/month or 1-yard cuts for $102.90/month. These prices do not include shipping and handling, or you may choose to pick up your fabric at the shoppe. We guarantee that all club fabrics will be reserved exclusively for club members for a period of one month. Only bolt leftovers (if any) will ever see the shop floor. Call the shoppe to start your membership today!
2010 Saturday Sampler starts on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. The pattern we are using is Betty’s Garden by StoryQuilts. You can choose to come on the 2nd Saturday or the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Saturday start time is 8:30 a.m.; Tuesday start time is 7:00 p.m. The cost is $35 to start. If you are here on time, in person, with the previous month's block completed, you get the next block free. If you miss a session, are late, or do not have the previous month’s block completed, you may purchase the block for $5.00. Carol's quilting the sample now. You can sign up for the 30's colorway or the Jewel Tone colorway.
Just a reminder, our classroom is available to anyone who wants to use it as long as there is not a class scheduled. There are times when the scheduled class is cancelled. So if you wish to use the room, just call us to check the availability of the classroom.
Don’t forget that we offer a one time shopping spree during your birthday month with 20% off your entire purchase (excludes BOMs, classes, long arm services and gift cards).
This month’s winner of the “Ginger’s Go Green” bag $25.00 gift card goes to Deanna Bos. It does pay to Go Green! Stop by the shoppe and purchase your bag, then be sure to bring it with you each time you shop at Ginger’s.
Wishing you all a Happy and Prosperous 2010!
